Hey all, trying to stream my local NHL team, the only service that is carrying it is ESPN+, which I have. I went in and it shows the game is blacked out in my area. Why would my local team be blacked out? Does that make sense? Thanks.
Sep 8, 2023 · First, it does NOT carry what is on “real” ESPN channels or ABC. It is mostly college football and basketball games from lower conferences, minor college sports like soccer, volleyball, baseball, etc.; a handful of MLB and NHL games, subject to local blackout; early day PGA before the Golf Channel comes on; and foreign events like cricket.
Disney does a poor job distinguishing the difference between ESPN and ESPN+, especially since the streaming apps are one in the same. ESPN+ is Only great if you’re looking for boxing, mixed martial arts, soccer, or non-major conference college basketball/football.
